Here are the first 10 books from my 100 book challenge mentioned here.

Book 1: Simplicity Parenting, by Kim John

This book is an expose on the overstimulated, over-consumerised, over-scheduled aspects of the typical children’s day and the steps we can take to simplify their lives and protect their childhood. While I enjoyed this book I felt it took too many pages to say very little. Some of my favorite quotes are “When multitasking is valued as a survival skill, should we be surprised when increasing numbers of our children are being diagnosed with attention difficulties?”, “Whichever came first—too many choices or too much stuff—the end result of both is not happiness,” and “Balance, where none exists, should be imposed.”
